The mana gain per mana gem was determined by Mana gem special value * Mana Pool multiplier. The monster mana gain per kill is determined by Monster Mana Value * Mana Pool multiplier * Summon multiplier. The mana pool multiplier starts at 1.00 and increases by. So, the mana you get over time is given by Base value * Mana pool multiplier. and mana gems had a special value related to their level for how much mana you get per a hit.(it's level for pure gems, and it's level * % mana gem for double/triple type gems.) Dropping gem bombs on waves made them more difficult, but there was a another multiplier that I think was linked to it. You're mana pool had a multiplier for mana game based on how much you'd upgraded it. In labrynth, monsters had a base mana value, where you get that much mana for killing them. The mana gem sucks in comparison to labrynth. I also noticed that initially, only 2 or 3 different colors/types were available, but I was ok with that, as frustrating as it was because I figured that as soon as I unlocked the mana gem, and gem forge/anvil that existed in labrynth, I could then reply the initial levels on endurance, and use the mana gem.Īfter grinding for hours, and hours of being frustrated that I couldn't find the mana gem, I got to a level where I could use the mana gem, and then I noticed something that destroyed all hopes of using my gemcraft labrynth strategy. The first thing I noticed was that I couldn't unlock other gemtypes in game, so I was only allowed to use the gems the level selected. I also tried Gemcraft Frostborn wraith, but it had all the things that frustrated me too. I thought they would go away the more I played as I unlocked features, but instead my frustrations got worse and worse, so after 17 hours I gave up. I'll start with the things this game did that were very frustrating. So, why do I like gemcraft labrynth more. Today I wanted to play it again, but I was really sad since the site I purchased gemcraft labrynth on has remodeled, and it much more laggy, and the game is unavailable due to adobe/flash changes. So, it took me over a month before I saw your question, and by then I had forgotten the specifics. Sorry that it's taken me so long to reply, but I play the gemcraft franchise casually as a way to kill time and relax when my brain is too tired for more thought provoking games like factorio. Also gemcraft labrynth had combinations that allowed for more xp gain if I carefully planned on endurance making it less frustrating, more fun, and giving me mental puzzles, and challenges that I could solve, even though they're hard. I find Gemcraft Labrynth to scale better, and although it has a tutorial, the user features are all avaliable from the beginning, so as someone who has played gemcraft before I don't feel handicapped by features that don't exist for early levels.
